This year the Annual Tesla Supercharged event was going to be held at the Milbrook Proving Ground in Northamptonshire. I was really looking forward to it as they promised to let us drive on the actual proving Ground Circuit (Alpine Circuit), High Speed Bowl and 1 Mile Fast Speed Track.

I drove down on the Friday 26th June and the temperature was almost unbearable from Nottingham onwards. the car thermometer said 36 degrees. On arriving at my first Supercharger stop in Rugby it was 34 degrees and it felt like a hot hairdryer was blowing in your face. Luckily I had a hotel room with air conditioning booked.

Not sure I would book the IHG Holiday Inn in Milton Keynes East M1 again. Aircon was very loud and a little old. Breakfast buffet was very decent but staff were not to be seen and not very service friendly and during my breakfast I saw nobody clearing up tables or even asking whether I needed anything.

At around 9:30 I mad my way to the event and arrived at around 9:45 with a small queue waiting to be let into the venue. The entrance to the event was very well managed and we soon were let through in batches of 5 cars.

The event was very well organised and loads of cars to see. I went round the proving Ground/Alpine Circuit and hd to attend a 20 minute safety briefing and get to know the voraus signals that the Marshalls would give us and we got a wristband after that to say we had attended the safety briefing and we were let go to round the circuit in our own cars.

For the Accelaration 1 mile high speed straight we needed to wait for n instructor who sat with us in the car and that was quickly arranged.

As a souvenir I got myself a Tesla mug and a Tesla Owners Group hat.

I left the event at around 15:30 as I had a long way back and charged at Ferryhill and got great charging speed -too fast for a wee.So just waited ten minutes and moved the car and went afterwords to the toilets.
